Thank you Yahweh for your strength. Meeting day today was a “hit the ground running” type of day. I am thankful that some were relatively simple. Some were brain ticklers (are brain ticklers because they are not resolved as yet). But we made it through. Thank you for your help.
I feel like I want to take a nap now and I’m hungry. Tired and hungry, what do you call that?
It’s still amazing that the God of the universe still wants to help us. So often we see help as a demeaning thing.
Help: Make it easier or possible for someone to do something
Help (Biblical): To aid, to assist, to lend strength, to remedyÂ
But the truth is: I need to change how I view help. It’s funny, when I choose to help someone it has nothing to do with if I think I am too good. I see a way that I can assist someone that I care about so I do. Even if it’s someone that I don’t know and they need assistance and I’m able to assist, I would do it. So why is it so hard for us (me) to believe that Yahweh wants to help us? Because he’s so big? He’s got so much to do? The truth is (as I see it), there are times we humanise Yahweh too much (I’m guilty of this). When we think of the person in charge of a multinational corporation or something like that they are not going to help everybody. They expect everybody else to do what they say and help them.Â
But that’s not how Yahweh works. He is God. He is the head honcho (humanised term of course) but he does not operate the way that we do.
