The truth? Twenty-one days suddenly feels like forever. It’s not. It’s only six days, but suddenly it feels like I’m anxiously counting down to the end of the fast and I don’t think I am (am I?). It just feels that all of a sudden the days that will fly in a dragon and it’s basically only this week. Yahweh, I pray for strength. I need you. 

Requesting something from God.

Releasing something back to God.

What do you require of us? Surrender of our hopes and dreams to you. Our desires and wants  But then you give it back to us (once it is in your plans for us) in a better format. And then what should we do again? Give it back to you. Some cycles are bad, but this one? Humbles us before Yahweh. It teaches us to submit to his will and his timing (especially his timing when he has revealed his will).  It’s continuous.

Today, Yahweh, I lay it all at your feet. The desires, as good as they are, are nothing without you. I need you in every part of my life, because without you the days grow long. Teach me your way. Whatever happens I will trust that you are leading and  you will never lead me astray. Thank you for your promises. I love you. 

 

TODAY’S THANKFUL TALLY

  1. For every blocked road. Give a reminder that with Yahweh, there’s always another way. 
  2. Yahweh showing me that he wants me to ask. Why? Yahweh is my daddy (singing) 1 Corinthians 4:15
  3. Site visits – I love going out into the field. (Most times) it makes me smile.

CONFESSION: I don’t know what it is I am feeling. I can’t even seem to settle on a scripture to focus on. Am I being tested? Because not hearing from Yahweh this instant. And is it true that during a test you are silent? I mean it sounds good and all based on the school test we’ve experienced. But I’m thinking, you’re God. You’ve never done anything the way the world does, so why would you do that in the instant when someone is going through a test? 

1 Peter 1:7 – The purpose of these troubles is to test your faith as fire tests how genuine gold is. Your faith is more precious than gold, and by passing the test, it gives praise, glory, and honor to God. This will happen when Jesus Christ appears again.

So I went searching. Refining gold by fire is still one of the best ways to purify gold. It involves a craftsman sitting next to a hot fire with molten gold stirring and skimming to remove the impurities and the dross that rise to the top of the molten metal. He is right there in the process. He’s not off somewhere hoping that it turns out right. But what’s even better to remember is:

Isaiah 65:24 – Before they call, I will answer. While they are still speaking, I will hear. 

If Yahweh is silent during the test, it’s because we are not asking him for help! And he wants us to ask. And you know what else? The Bible. It’s always there. He is always speaking through his word. We have only to pick it up to hear him. 

Yahweh for always hearing and answering us. You never leave us especially during the test. You are never silent and you don’t want us to fall. Help us always hear you. Thank you for your leading. I love you.
