Word of the Day
Principles
This morning as I opened my Kindle, this word was on the screen promoting a guided journal (I actually clicked on it, but the images were blurry of what was inside). As I was getting ready for work, I started listening to a sermon. First up on the agenda? Biblical principles.
2:48 pm – At my desk at work
Ever had one of those days where everything happened? Not necessarily bad things – just a lot of things. For instance: in the middle of responding to an email, security brought someone to my office. This is a new officer starting today (Thank you HR for the heads up), then finally sat down to lunch and had an impromptu meeting. One of the officers actually felt bad when the meeting actually ended and it was minutes to two and commented that my lunch was now cold. But the upside? I was able to address the pop-ups and also the other items on my desk. And I am very thankful that I love my work. I am learning more and more to hand off to others. Which is awesome as they are also learning more. Annndddd!! Even though they intended to short change us, we are still able to get the devices needed because the two devices were approved!! Happy dance!!
And now it’s time to head home. I am tired. A journal to make.
4:30 pm – In My Room
I does wonder at people. On my way home, I was at a point where the road slightly narrows: not significantly, but slightly. I noticed someone walking on my side and a vehicle coming from the other direction. I stopped because I never want to scare a pedestrian. The vehicle on the other side kept driving. I noticed however that the pedestrian stepped off the road and was waiting at the side and then start pointing fingers at me lecturing. I’m like what? After the other car passed, I drove up and the man was still pointing at me and lecturing. So I threw up my hand at him in the local gesture of “Behave yourself.” The man put down his hands. Sigh. I don’t usually challenge people but he was overdoing it.
