Good Morning Yahweh. It is 4:09 am. I’m surprised at the time: thought it was like two o’clock or something. Thank you for this new day. Thank you for who you are.

You are God.

You are the only God.

Thank you for your grace towards us. Thank you for your love for us. Thank you for remembering us. Last night I was reading Habakkuk and I noticed something. You answered Habakukk’s questions, but you didn’t give him a straight answer, Which makes me wonder if you ever give a straight answer.

Proverbs 25:2 – It is the glory of God to hide things but the glory of kings to investigate them.

Lol. Yes, I remembered this scripture. You like to hide things so that we will seek you. What happens when we seek out something?

  1. We (hopefully) find it.
  2. We know more about it.
  3. We (hopefully) understand it.

I do know that you’ve said once we seek you. We will find you. But I pray that in our seeking that we will understand more of you even though your ways are not our ways.

Sidenote: It’s funny. I have no desire to be an elder in this church. I think though it does bother me the elitist thoughts that are shown behind who should be an elder vs who should be a deacon. And I will not dwell on it for long (I truly hope not) but it is disturbing that we speak negatively about education/educated people, but also love “Doctor this” and “Doctor that” and I truly don’t want to be bitter. So Yahweh, I come seeking your help, I know it’s not going to be straight forward help since you rarely give a straightforward answer, but I am open to your help. Help me to overcome and to trust you and to not dwell on people. Lead me Yahweh in the way I should go.  Thank you for your wisdom and understanding. Your love. I love you. Amen.

Isaiah 55:6 – Seek the Lord while he may be found. Call on him while he is near.

Why?

Isaiah 55:8 – “My thoughts are not your thoughts, and my ways are not your ways,” declares the Lord.

Truthfully I did not realise that these two scriptures were so closely tied together. Had gone looking for the “thoughts are not my thoughts” and saw the seek Yahweh scripture. But you are calling us to come closer to you. This isn’t a declaration that we will never understand you (though there are definitely some aspects that we won’t). But it is an indication to come closer so that we can understand you more because until we seek you, your ways will be higher than ours. Thank you for your promise that we can find you. That we can know you. Thank you for elevating our thoughts and ways to you so that we can be better representatives of you. Thank you for who you are. I love you.

“God doesn’t always bring us through the most comfortable way.” – Rev. J. Martin.

I know it’s true. Sometimes I wish it wasn’t. Yahweh, thank you for your promise to bring me through even though it may not be comfortable. Help me to hold on to you.

“Trust me. I’ve stayed with you through every storm in your life…things may be difficult for you right now, but just trust in my timing.”

“God has kingdom purposes he will fulfil through you as well, and he is equipping you with everything you need for success. That means enduring some storms.”

These messages came from different sources. But ultimately they are from you. Thank you for letting me know, for reminding me that you are here in the storm. That sometimes you plan the storm to draw me closer to you. Thank you for your grace in my life. Thank you for your love.
