Lest it appears that acceptance in and of itself is a bad thing: acceptance isn’t a bad thing. But that everything else has its place.Â
So I accept that I will never be a size two, but I desire to be healthy and that does require being at a healthier weight and size.Â
I accept that I am an introvert in an extroverted world. I love my introverted self but I accept that in a world that values extroverts highly, I may never be fully accepted.Â
And I accept that there are some places I will never be accepted (pun totally intended) and I’m really good with that. I just won’t make my presence known there.
I accept that until Christ returns, evil will be present in this world.
I accept that there are those who thrive on drama and since I don’t, I will stay as far as possible.
I humbly, eagerly accept the love that Yahweh has shown towards me. That he loves me enough – so much that he died for me.Â
I accept the promises that he has made to me, even when I’m afraid to make promises lest I break them.
I accept that no one is perfect. That we all make mistakes and can learn and grow from our past.Â
I accept that I am in a transition period of waiting and learning and becoming and preparing (a lot of ands).
I accept that Yahweh made me the way he did for a purpose and that my purpose is not just a one-off and done thing. But it is evolving and new aspects are added.Â
I’ve run out of things at this moment that I’ve accepted. But I am thankful for all that Yahweh has shown me. I am thankful for who he has been: who he is and who he continues to be.Â
Oh lastly, I accept…contentment.
TODAY’S THANKFUL TALLY
- Contentment. Like true contentment.
- And acceptance: the good kind. The right kind.Â
- No drama
Thank you for making me smile. I know that’s not your only goal in my life, but I truly love that it is part of your plans.Â
1 Timothy 6:6 – A godly life brings huge profits to people who are content with what they have.
Honestly, though other translations are easier to understand at times, sometimes the poetry of the KJV is unsurpassed.
But Godliness with contentment is great gain.
