time with Yahweh during the day
Spread the love

This is not the end. It’s a long road. It’s been a long road. It’s kinda interesting to know the destination but not the route. And I also recognised that I can’t see my life past the next two years – when I’m forty-five. It sounds pessimistic, but the truth is, you gave me a vision for three years and while I see/imagine what I can or hope to be doing after, it’s still drawing a blank. I know that I will be continuing serving you. But the specifics? No clue. You’ve called me to minister in (now) four ways and I don’t know how far they will go. Well, except marriage, that one is until I die or he dies or you return.

I pray for your continued grace, that as I move forward, I will see the path you have before me. It’s funny, I’ve said before that I can’t see myself being both the creative and manager in a business. It’s like I don’t seem to have capacity for both. The last business I started didn’t even get off the ground. There were no long-term clients. I had to keep promoting and doing everything and it wasn’t even making much. And I hated it after a while. But I don’t have to promote and drum up business, I can focus on the creative and someone else does the other part. And while there have only been two orders, I am excited because of what you said. It’s not like a traditional business where I can stack and keep. It’s all handcrafted and personalised. Should be fun. Thank you Yahweh for your blessing. Your promises. Your everlasting, amazing love. Yahweh, I pray that Miya will grow from grace to grace. Strength to strength. That she will trust you. Thank you for loving us. I love you.

I just had a “duhhh” moment. There’s a saying in my country, “my blood ain’t tek that person.” Meaning that something about that person rubs you the wrong way or we are never able to see eye to eye. It’s a statement I rarely use because it felt superstitious, but I actually used it about two weeks ago about someone who just seemed wrong. Today I saw another person, who the first time I met him ,also rubbed me the wrong way and I literally said to myself that I need to be better than this. That I need to learn to like people even if they “rub me the wrong way.” But as I thought about the two persons, I realised that they had similar qualities and they are not qualities that I admire and the next thought that came was that the Spirit that is in me is at war with the spirit that is in them. We are clearly not on the same side of the spiritual battle and so we can’t agree. Yahweh, I pray that I am on your side cause I don’t want to go through this life and then realise I walked my way into hell. Yahweh, renew your Spirit in me. Let my heart dance to your tune. Thank you for your grace and your amazing promises to all of us and to me. Thank you for loving me. Amen.

Promises of Yahweh to Me

Habakkuk 2:2-3 – Then the Lord answered me, “Write the vision. Make it clear on tablets so that anyone can read it quickly. The vision will still happen at the appointed time. It hurries toward its goal. It won’t be a lie. If it’s delayed, wait for it. It will certainly happen. It won’t be late.

1 Corinthians 4:15 – You may have countless Christian guardians, but you don’t have many spiritual fathers. I became your father in the Christian life by telling you the Good News about Christ Jesus.

2 Timothy 1:6-7 – You received a gift from God when I placed my hands on you to ordain you. Now I’m reminding you to fan that gift into flames. God didn’t give us a cowardly spirit but a spirit of power, love, and good judgment.

Ezekiel 36:29 –  I will rescue you from all your uncleanness. I will make the grain grow so that you will never again have famines.

Micah 7:8 – Don’t laugh at me, my enemies. Although I’ve fallen, I will get up. Although I sit in the dark, the Lord is my light.

1 Chronicles 17:25-27 – You, my God, have revealed especially to me that you will build me a house. That is why I have found the courage to pray to you. 26 “Almighty Lord, you are God. You promised me this good thing. 27 Now, you were pleased to bless my house so that it may continue in your presence forever. Indeed, you, Lord, have blessed it. It will be blessed forever.”

Luke 1:45 – You are blessed for believing that the Lord would keep his promise to you.”

Hosea 6:1 – Let’s return to the Lord. Even though he has torn us to pieces, he will heal us. Even though he has wounded us, he will bandage our wounds.

Psalm 89:34 – I will not dishonor my promise or alter my own agreement.

Psalm 105:19 – The Lord’s promise tested him through fiery trials until his prediction came true.

Isaiah 43:2 – When you go through the sea, I am with you. When you go through rivers, they will not sweep you away. When you walk through fire, you will not be burned, and the flames will not harm you.
