All praise belongs to you O God.

All glory belongs to you.

Thank you Yahweh for being my God and King. For being my Lord and Saviour. For being my friend.

Thank you Yahweh for being all that I need. You are enough. Yahweh, I pray for your continued grace and your guidance.

You are sufficient for today.

Matthew 6:34 – (KJV)  Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

GW – So don’t ever worry about tomorrow. After all, tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

GNT –  So do not worry about tomorrow; it will have enough worries of its own. There is no need to add to the troubles each day brings.

Sufficient. As a word this almost hints at deficiency. As if it’s barely enough to meet the requirement.

Sufficient (dictionary): enough to meet the needs of a situation or a proposed end.

Sufficient (Bible): the state of being adequate to the end proposed. Adequate power.

Whatever state we are in, we have enough for today. It’s not speaking about abundance, but there is contentment in whatever is there. There is no need to worry because even though it’s not necessarily overflowing, it’s enough.

What has Yahweh given me enough for today?

  1. Air (truthfully, this is in abundance, but my body only uses what it needs).
  2. Love, peace, joy, strength.
  3. Food
  4. Clothing
  5. House/home

Truthfully, I’m just truly acknowledging a pattern: what you provide (by your nature) is actually provided in abundance: water, air, love etc. But man-made has limits: clothes etc. There’s only so much. Thank you for your definition for sufficient and not the world’s. You are truly sufficient for today because you truly don’t think the way we do. Thank you. I love you.

You know, some weeks ago I wondered, “Are there two different types of peace?” (Yahweh’s Peace). And I answered saying that there is a peace that is given and a peace that is pursued. But earlier this week, a pastor said that Satan gives us “peace” too. He can give us the sense that what we are doing is right and unless we are truly seeking the peace from Yahweh, we will be thinking wrong, doing wrong and calling it right AND be at peace with it. BTW, this is not a peace that we have to pursue.
