Singing
You’re still good.
You’re still good.
You are still good. Of that I am sure. You are still good. Thank you for being my God and my king. Thank you for your promises. I’m still amazed at the vision you’ve given and I have no idea how to accomplish it all, but I will step with you every step of the way. When I think about what I studied and where I work, I wonder how the two paths connect. I do know you led me to study planning and design. I know that you led me to where I am working now. How the plans will work together, I do not know. The seminar yesterday actually crystalised so many things for me. There are some things that need to be planned and in a way, I’ve been afraid to plan that far ahead. But then it’s not actually the planning I need to do now, but to write the vision.
Then follow the steps that you have given. I do believe that not everything will be done by hand after a while. But we’re not there yet.
Yahweh, remember your daughters. You know each of them by name. You know what you have called us into. Touch each of them, of us. Teach us your will.
Strengthen Vinny in you. That she will trust you beyond what she sees. That her heart will be in tune with you. Steph. I pray that she will grow from faith to greater faith. That she will trust you for everything and even though the times when it seems dark, that she will know that you are her light.
There’s Thea. She is a kindred spirit in a way. I pray that she will see what you have placed in front of her and that she will honour you in all things.
Dan, Miya and Angie. Yahweh, I pray that as they grow, they will grow closer to you. That they will desire you above all. That in all things, they will allow you to lead. Teach them your will.
Thank you for your Spirit. Dwell in us. Mould us to your will. To accomplish your purpose. Help us to stand firm in who you have called us to be. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
Proverbs 18:16 – A gift opens doors for the one who gives it and brings him into the presence of great people.
–
Proverbs 18:16 (KJV) – A man’s gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.
This was a scripture I’ve read and also heard about six months ago. But yesterday at a seminar it was stated and reinforced. And then this morning listening to a sermon that on the surface does not appear to be anything that would reference this, the scripture was repeated. Our gifts open doors. The speaker highlighted though, that we need discernment: because it opens doors – God’s doors and Satan’s doors. We need to know which one is the right one because Satan would love to take us out of our designed by Yahweh path. Which brings me to the next point the speaker made: Based on Luke 4. Satan tested Jesus. Offered him what he believed was the world so that he could leave the path Yahweh designed for him. But Jesus resisted. What is amazing is that this morning in my time in the word, I read Luke 4 which is about the temptation of Jesus.
Yahweh, this is my prayer, that we will know you. That we will know which door you designed for us. That we will trust you to help us overcome temptation. And that the rooms that we walk into will be the ones you designed for us. Help us to use our gifts as unto you. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
[…] As the song played and I sang, after a while I started reading my prayers from last week Wednesday (“Still Good” – December 28, 2022) and the text Proverbs 18:16 was highlighted because of how many times it came up. I also spoke […]
