Dream:
Somehow, mom, dad and myself were trapped on the planet where the people would survive by exchanging their bodies for other people’s. We weren’t able to go anywhere as everything had a lock on it and outside that lock was dangerous, people would get sucked out if these doors were opened. But we kept trying to figure out how to get out. One day, we were able to trick the security who would usually be locked in a vault-like room that could only be opened from inside and we got in and locked the door. One of the guys still was in the room with us but he did not try to escape. There were two compartments to the room: one like a porch with steps going up to a platform surrounded by glass where you could look out and the next room like a bedroom.
There were doors (vault doors) on both. We were there for a while and a couple times they almost got in, but didn’t. After a while (as in days or weeks), there was a knock on the door and they were saying that we would be happy to open the door. We said that no one else was allowed to come in. It sounded like someone we knew. When we open the door and the person slipped in, it was an uncle who had some how negotiated our release from the planet and had brought the legal documents. The guy from the planet who had gotten stuck with us for the period, got mad and walked away. He stayed in the room though. We said that we couldn’t leave him here. We realize that he was upset that he would be left behind. Uncle said that that would be no problem. They had started negotiating our release for a while now once they had realised what had happened. The release sum was over a million. I woke up after that. (End dream).
Good Morning
Good Morning Yahweh! I’m up and for the record that was totally a weird dream. Granted, I was watching Star Trek last night, but I’ve watched Star Trek many other times before but I’ve never had such a weird dream. But guess what? (You already know) I am awake, alive, it’s a new week and I am thankful for life. I am thankful for your presence in my life. For your leading, your grace and for your love that surpasses all understanding. Thank you for who you are and I pray that I will show your love to everyone that I have the opportunity to interact with.
Guess what? (Again, I know you know, lol). It’s Angie’s birthday! Thank you for adding another year to her life. Thank you for imbuing her with your spirit. Thank you for the way that you have been moving in her life. I pray that she will continue to seek your face daily. That she would choose a relationship with you over anything else every day. I pray that she would trust you come what may: that even though she may be walking through the sea, she would know that you are there. You love her and you desire only the best for her.
Yahweh, I pray for her relationships: with her family, her boyfriend, at work, at church. I pray that you will allow you to lead in all of them and that what others see of her would be representative of you. I asked that in all things, that she would prosper. Not just financially, but on health, relationships and every facet of her life. That she would be dedicated to you and so be able to prosper. Thank you for your love for her, that you have shown her time and time again. Thank you for your promises in her life. Help her to always see you, even if she can’t see you working. Thank you Yahweh for her and I pray that she enjoys the day (and all the other days) in you.
Psalm 91:11-12 – He will put his angels in charge of you to protect you in all your ways. They will carry you in their hands so that you never hit your foot against a rock.
3 John 1:2 (KJV) – Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
This is my prayer in the name of Jesus. Amen.
What is Sanctification?
Sanctify (dictionary): to set apart to a sacred purpose. To free from sin, consecrate.
Sanctify (Bible): to make holy, to set apart.
We are all called to be set apart, to be holy.
1 Peter 1:15-16 – But because the God who called you is holy, you must be holy in every aspect of your life. Scripture says, “Be holy, because I am holy.”
This honestly feels like it’s easier said than done.
CONFESSION: I’ll be using the King James Version for this. I know sanctify means holy, but this time I prefer the wording in the KJV.
Leviticus 20:7-8 – Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the Lord your God. And ye shall keep my statutes, and do them: I am the Lord which sanctify you.
Sanctify yourselves: compound word with the base word: qadash
Qadash: to be set apart or consecrated. Both times this word is used, it is a call for us to sanctify ourselves.
Leviticus 11:44 – For I am the Lord your God: ye shall therefore sanctify yourselves, and ye shall be holy; for I am holy: neither shall ye defile yourselves with any manner of creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
There is a call for us to sanctify ourselves. I want to believe that the process of sanctification starts with us. We have to make that choice that we want to be set apart by Yahweh. I guess like everything else from Yahweh, we have to choose to accept it. But there are some steps(?) we have to do as part of being sanctified.
Joshua 3:5 – And Joshua said unto the people, Sanctify yourselves: for to morrow the Lord will do wonders among you.
When we choose to sanctify ourselves, it opens the door for Yahweh to come and truly sanctify us for his purpose. Leviticus 20:8. After we have chosen to set ourselves apart, Yahweh comes in and completes the process. He’s not going to enter where no preparation has been made for him. We can also sanctify something. Set it apart for use for/by Yahweh. So the sanctuary was a holy place. A place set apart unto Yahweh.
Exodus 19:10 – And the Lord said unto Moses, Go unto the people, and sanctify them to day and to morrow, and let them wash their clothes
The part of sanctification that we do is an outward act. Physically we prepare ourselves, we wash ourselves. The sanctification that Yahweh does is internal, spiritual. He sets us apart.
John 17:17-19 – Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.
Sanctify (Greek): hagiazó: to make holy, consecrate.
Truth (Greek): alétheia: divine truth.
Ephesians 5:26-27 – That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
Thy word is truth. Washing of water by the word. “I am the way about the truth and the life.” (John 14:6). “In the beginning was the word.” (John 1:1).
Sanctification is a process where we choose to study the truth, the word. We wash ourselves (so to speak) in the word. But then the process continues by the word, the truth. Yahweh. Jesus Christ who is the complete sanctification. He is the one who truly makes us holy. Until he comes back, it is a continual process towards who he is calling us to be in him. As with many things, we have to make a choice and that choice opens the door to everything else.
1 Corinthians 3:16 – Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
The temple is set apart. We are set apart, so that he can dwell in us. He can sanctify us.
I am not on speaking terms with my cats. I left the cupcakes in the boxes on the table. Tell me why one of the cats decided that they would sit on the box? It squashed the frosting on one of the cupcakes. Sigh.
[…] Lol. Now he is speaking about being sanctified, while I’m posting about being sanctified, “Sanctified by Truth.” […]
