First day of vacation and I am officially tired. Went driving up country to check out a spot for the hike on Sunday. Turned into a half day drive. A lot of times people think driving is not tiring. It is. Sigh, and then coming down, my transmission started giving problems. The sad part is that last year I took a $40,000 loan to change the engine and transmission. Yahweh, I don’t have anything left. Sorry, I stand corrected: I of myself have nothing left. But you have me. I bring the vehicle before you. It is dedicated to you. Bless it, keep it going until you decide to replace it. Thank you Yahweh for who you are. I am trusting you. Whatever happens even if things don’t work out the way I may hope, I’m still holding on to you. Please don’t – scratch that. Thank you for never letting me go. You never have before. You won’t start now and I will keep my focus on you.
I’ll Praise You in This Storm – Casting Crowns
“I was sure by now
God, You would have reached down
And wiped our tears away
Stepped in and saved the day
And once again
I say, “A-men” and it’s still rainin’
But as the thunder rolls
I barely hear Your whisper through the rain
“I’m with you”
And as Your mercy falls
I’ll raise my hands and praise the God who gives
And takes away
And I’ll praise You in this storm
And I will lift my hands
For You are who You are
No matter where I am”
Yahweh, even though I feel battered by my circumstance, I will still praise you. The plus side? Today, we picked sea grapes, also got chennette, and visited little known areas. As tired as I am. As worrying as the vehicle has the potential to be, I am thankful for your presence in my life. Thank you.
Btw. I think you like teasing me just a little bit. Every other month the salary comes early to the bank. This month…you’re telling the bank, wait. Tis only slightly funny.
