  1. Acknowledge and process my emotions.
  2. Acknowledge the mistake out loud.
  3. Think of it as a learning experience.
  4. Put the process on hold if needed.
  5. Have a conversation with my inner critic.
  6. Notice when I’m being self-critical.
  7. Quiet the negative thoughts of the critic (write it down then write a compassionate response).
  8. Be clear about what I want.
  9. Take my own advice.
  10. Stop replaying the incident.
  11. Be kind and compassionate to myself.

I am used to being my worst critic. I am learning how to forgive myself when I mess up – whether it’s big or small.

I will extend the same grace I give others, to myself.
