It is still the weirdest feeling for me. Not “working” for the promises. I’ve honestly always had to work – to put in the hours, but the messages I keep getting are all saying that it’s not up to me. None of it is up to me. And in a way it’s weird and makes me jittery. But there are so many examples of those who do. And yes it does work out in the end once they keep the faith, but living with the consequences of the choices not to wait – I don’t want that.
Yes, in the end, Jacob gave birth to the tribes of Israel, but he never received the birthright that he schemed for. I truly don’t want those consequences that affect the generation to come.
