I haven’t thought of this song for years, but this morning as I saw the scripture from yesterday it came back to me: I never lost my hope. Particularly this line. I have lost hope before. And there are times when everything looks bleak. But I am thankful. Thankful that even on days/weeks/months when I felt hopeless, you never left me. I am grateful that you healed my unfaithfulness and that you are still healing. In my disappointment, you are still God. In this situation, you are still God. In this season, I will praise you because you are still good. You are still God. You are still in the midst. Thank you Yahweh for your goodness.

Thank you Yahweh. For this new day. For your promises. Thank you for your love. Thank you for the generations to come. You are not done yet. Thank you for holding this word in your hands. Thank you for having me in your hands. Thank you for dwelling in me. For reminding me that it’s not over. It’s not finished. Because you are still good. You are still God.
