My Hope is in You

I swear the time is just flying these days! I can’t believe that it’s already 12:00! I just finished a site visit that thankfully went well, there were no unpleasant surprises. Yayyyyyy! Going to get lunch and probably listen to a sermon while eating. Because I’m hungry. 

You ever realised that sometimes you just have to let things play out and resist the urge to say, “I saw that coming?” The staff had put forward a case for a young man to be given access to lands previously occupied by his father. Truthfully, my sense of the time was not to allow him to go there, but everyone was saying give him a chance. Now the same officer who fought for the guy to get the chance is calling to say that the police have to be in the area all the time because of the actions of this same young man to the other occupants. Sigh. So often (well, not very often, but often enough) I’m accused of being strict, and one of the few times I did not insist, this is what happens. Yahweh, next time, I will follow regardless of how it appears. 

Yahweh, I may hope for many things, but my hope is in you. 

Thank you for renewing my mind, for cleansing and continued healing. It’s easy to think it’s going to always be happy days, but in all days I can trust you. Thank you for your promises.
