Yahweh, thank you for never leaving me. For being the ultimate comforter, for knowing what I need and while you are changing the parts of me that are unlike you, you also accept and love me just as I am.Â
Thank you for you, for being the only true God who wipes away every tear. Who heals every wound: physical and spiritual. Hallelujah!! Thank you Jesus! You are amazing.Â
Yahweh, I pray for the ability to remember what I learned. There’s so much that I find in you and about it at times I forget it all. Well not all, but some of it. Thank you for being my help and for being a friend who sticks closer than a brother. While also being my brother, my father. Thank you for your watchful care over my life, thank you for your promises: to remove any uncleanness for me and to make the grain grow so that I would never again have famine. Today I’m yours. It’s my commitment that I will renew every day, the way your faithfulness is new every morning.Â
Yahweh, I lift my mom to you. She’s special to me and like all of us, she has also been hurt. Yahweh, I pray that she lays all that hurts at your feet so that she can be healed. That no bitterness or resentment would abide with her and she can rejoice at all things.Â
May her name be blessed as she helps others. I pray that she continues to seek your face and yours alone. That no evil would befall her. Protect all that she is and all that she has. Protect her as she comes and goes. Thank you for being her father and mother and for taking her up when those who were supposed to be there walked away. You are a good good father and I am forever grateful for your mercies and your love.Â
(Singing) You’re the God of the breakthrough, when I’m breaking down. You are the reason I can praise, I can sing. You are the one who lifts my hand, who has never given up on me. Thank you for all you are and all that you’ve done to me and for me. Last night, I could not fall asleep. I physically did not feel tired, but in all that, you called me to your throne room and you removed a burden that I didn’t even realize at the moment that I was carrying. You held me and reminded me of your promises to you and then I slept. Thank you for being all knowing: for feeling what I feel before I even understand what I’m feeling. And for releasing every burden, every hurt. Because of you I will always have a reason to pray.Â
Thank you!
You are my life.
You are my strength.
You are my everything.
Psalm 119:49, 50 – Remember the word you gave me. Through it you gave me hope. This is my comfort in my misery: your promise gave me new life.
Exodus 15:2 – The Lord is my strength and my song. He is my saviour. This is my God and I will praise him, my father’s God and I will honour him.Â
Ephesians 4: 4, 6 – There is one Lord to come over one day to come out of one baptism. One God and Father of all, who is over everything, through everything and in everything.Â
