It’s Friday. It’s almost the end of the week. Happy dance! Thank you Yahweh for your grace and mercy that brought me through. I was speaking to someone last night and this text came up.
Isaiah 43:2 – When you go through the sea, I am with you. When you go through rivers, they will not sweep you away. When you walk through fire, you will not be burned, and the flames will not harm you.
When…it’s not a matter of if. It’s when. We will. And it’s amazing that sea, fire, river have positive and negative connotations. The refining, purifying fire. A raging fire.
Through. We will go through. Truthfully, the “when” is comforting because the fires and the waters will come. But we will go through. We won’t just be drowning all the time or in the fire continually, we will go through it. It’s a season that won’t last forever.
But the most comforting is the reminder that when I go through, Yahweh is with me. I will not be swept away or burnt – because you are with me. Thank you for this promise.
You are with me.
You are with us.
Emmanuel. Thank you for being with us. Thank you for who you are.
You are faithful.
You are good.
You are worthy of all the glory.
You are my God.
Thank you for remaining.
