God Above All

Thank you for another day. For life, relatively good health. Your strength and favour. Thank you for your provision and grace. For the way that you are leading at this moment. I pray for this community. That we would truly live as a community, that we would support each other and live peaceably with each other. 

Yahweh, I lift up this nation before you. I pray that our leaders would allow you to lead in their lives so that they can lead the country the way they ought to. You rule the nations and this earth. But you also ask that we surrender to you. That we trust you instead of ourselves. Yahweh, heal this land, its people so that we can rise and call you blessed. That our lives will be a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to you. 

Yahweh, I pray for your continued covering over the community of your daughters that you are forming. Bless us and may we be used mightily in your name. Not just to change our personal lives, but to change the lives of others, so that they can know you. We can all rejoice at knowing you and give you the glory that is due to your name. Thank you for your grace. 

Yahweh, I pray for marriages. Yes, marriages in general, but those that are called by your name especially are under attack. And while we know that you are in control, I ask that each member would humble themselves before you and choose to live for you. Choose to dedicate their marriage to you. To live in unity with you and with each other.

I pray that they will honour you. That their homes would be blessed and that others would be blessed from knowing them and would be drawn closer to you. 

You don’t live in isolation and even in solitude, you don’t call for isolation. I pray that these marriages will prosper and be in health. Thank you for your love. Thank you for your care and grace, for answering promises. For everything that you are. Everything that you’ve done. Let our words be pleasing to you. This is my prayer in the name of Jesus. Amen. I love you. 

1 Peter 3:8 –  Finally, everyone must live in harmony, be sympathetic, love each other, have compassion, and be humble.

Hebrews 10:24-25 – We must also consider how to encourage each other to show love and to do good things. We should not stop gathering together with other believers, as some of you are doing. Instead, we must continue to encourage each other even more as we see the day of the Lord coming.

Ephesians 4:3-6 – Through the peace that ties you together, do your best to maintain the unity that the Spirit gives. There is one body and one Spirit. In the same way you were called to share one hope.  There is one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over everything, through everything, and in everything.

Thank you for being in everything. Our everything and in everything. Thank you for being God.  

I made a smoothie for breakfast this morning. I have no idea what flavour it is. I took down some frozen fruit from the freezer and all I could recognise was that it was yellow. I tasted it and nothing. I hope it still has nutrients in it.
