Good Morning Yahweh. Thank you for a new day. I am never going to stop saying that. It’s a new day and I’m thankful to be alive to see it.
(Singing)
He woke me up this morning and started me on my way. The Lord is blessing me right now.
It is indeed a blessing! Thank you. Thank you for being so good to us. To me. Thank you for showing your love everyday to me. As I go through this day, I pray for your continued guidance. For my words to be acceptable and pleasing to you. For my heart to be attuned to yours and yours alone. Today is yours. I am yours. Prepare me, show me what I ought to do in this day.Â
Yahweh, you breakdown and you set up. I pray for the family altar in this home. I pray for the priest of this home. That he would stand before you and humble himself. That knowing you won’t be a head thing but a heart matter. Help him to trust you in all things and to know you as a father and friend. “The men,” Yahweh. I pray that they will be faithful to you, even as you are faithful. You have never turned your back on them and I’m thankful that you never will. I pray that they will look to you and not to their own understanding. That they would trust you to lead and to teach them to lead their households.Â
Thank you Yahweh for moving them. For honouring their covenants with you. Thank you for being the surety for your covenants with us. You are so good. Your will, not mine. Your will, not theirs.Â
(Singing)
Lord prepare me to be a sanctuary. Pure and Holy. Tried and true. With thanksgiving, I’ll be a living sanctuary for you.
Thank you for preparing me for each day. Preparation isn’t a one and done thing. It is a perpetual state of readiness and preparation and you are master of both. Yahweh, thank you for making us ready for today’s task and preparing me for the future. There are no halves with you. Thank you for making me whole in you. For healing me inside and out. You know it’s still a strange thought for me. Having my complete confidence in you. Thank you for challenging my thoughts on humility and wholeness. You heal me. Fill in the gaps and make me whole, seamless, without spot or blemish. But yet ask for us to be broken: it took me a while to truly accept what this brokenness truly means. It’s recognizing the cost paid for my healing and following the one who healed me. Thank you for your sacrifice for me. I offer myself on the altar: yours Yahweh. I am yours. You are mine. My father, my redeemer, my saviour, my king. Thank you. Yahweh, show me how to love in spirit and in truth. To love others not in words, but in deed. I ask because like everything else in this world, love and what it truly represents has been corrupted. Help me to live in your love and to show your love to others.Â
Love is a Sacrifice:
1 John 4:9 – God has shown his love by sending his only son into the world so that we can have life through him.
Love is Seen:
1 John 4:14 – We have seen and testify to the fact that the father sent his son as the saviour of the world.Â
Love is Confident:
1 John 4:17 – God’s love has reached its goal in us (readying us and preparing us). So we look ahead with confidence to the day of judgement. While we are in this world, we are exactly like him with regard to love.
Love has no Fear:Â
1 John 4:18 – No fear exists where his love is. Rather perfect love gets rid of fear, because fear involves punishment. The person who lives in fear doesn’t have perfect love.Â
Love is a Choice:
1 John 4:19 – We love because God loves us first.
Yahweh offers us his unconditional love. When we choose to accept his love for us, to embrace his amazing unending love for us, we are choosing to love. We are choosing to live like him and to love others.
It is truly impossible to love and be quiet. May not speak, but even our actions (which speaks for us) show our love: for Yahweh and for others. Not once in scripture are the words “I love you” uttered in this familiar form. But every action shows his love for us. He is the embodiment of love. The many roles he fills in our lives. Thank you for being love, for showing your love and being that perfect example so that we can live in your love. Thank you for living in me. I love you Yahweh.
Love is Eternal:Â
Jeremiah 31:3 – The Lord appeared to me in a faraway place, “I love you with an everlasting love. So I will continue to show you my kindness.”
I stand fully corrected. The words are spoken! Not gonna lie, I know it says variations of this, eg. “You are my son whom I love.” And truthfully (shame face), saying “whom I love,” doesn’t feel as personal as “I love you.”
They say actions speak louder than words. But with Yahweh, his words are his actions. Thank you Yahweh for your everlasting love. For switching my perspective. It’s a small (almost miniscule) switch. But it means so much to you.  Thank you so much, because of you I live. Because of you, I love.Â
1 John 4:16 – We have known and believed that God loves us. God is love. Those who live in God’s love, live in God, and God lives in them.
[…] Love truly has no fear or maybe it’s easier to push past fear when you love someone. Yahweh, I love you. Thank you for loving me […]
