The Bible is filled with so many stories of you turning lives around. Reminder: not everything happens in an instant. With Joseph it took 22 years! So many promises took decades to fulfil. David waited 15 years thereabout before he became king. Abraham waited 25 years. Jacob waited 7 years. The Israelites waited 40 years and Jesus waited 30 years to begin his ministry and it’s still waiting on us.
Psalm 33:20 – We wait in hope for the Lord; he is our help and our shield.Â
Psalm 130:5 – I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits and in his word I put my hope.
I went to move the vehicle for Mom to come out and the neighbour started to cuss, saying how we stole his land and how I was oppressing people at work. Sigh. There isn’t anything that we experience that doesn’t serve a purpose. Help us to learn and grow from this experience. I do know that there is no reasoning with him, but I pray for your grace and strength from each experience. Yahweh, let his heart and mind be unto you. For your glory. You are God.
I believe that I try to be unbiased in my dealings. Yahweh, if I am not, please show me. Help me that the decisions that I am called to make will be according to your will. Thank you for your grace that you extend to all of us.
Today seems like a day when a lot is coming at me. Yahweh, I may not always “feel” you close, but I am thankful that you are here. Let my actions be in tune with you, help me to walk in your way. Help me during this year (a whole year!!) of solitude. I do desire connection with others, but I need and desire connection with you first and foremost.
I miss having someone. It has been a desire for so long and it just felt like a dream come true. Someone who understood me without judgement, who I could also hug and kiss. I miss that. And it had become that I would have shared today’s events with him, but that’s not the case. Yahweh, can you hold me?
