2 Chronicles 12:1 – When Rehoboam had established his kingdom and made himself strong, he and all Israel abandoned the Lord’s teachings.
He made himself strong and promptly abandoned Yahweh. But Yahweh asks for us to be weak so that he can show his strength. When we show our strength we have to maintain. When Yahweh shows his strength, he maintains.
2 Chronicles 12:14 – He did evil things because he was not serious about dedicating himself to serving the Lord.
He wasn’t serious. He wasn’t disciplined. He served Yahweh one day and someone else the next.
