Note to Self: David and Yahweh were best friends and David still consulted with prophets to hear from Yahweh at times.

1 Chronicles 21:30 – However, David couldn’t go there to consult God because he was frightened by the sword of the Lord’s Messenger.

Somehow thinking of David being that type of afraid of Yahweh is weird. And yet he chose to be disciplined by Yahweh because the other options would be by humans or kinda long.

Three years of famine: would destroy the nation.

Three months of defeat in battle: would destroy his reputation.

Three days of the Lord’s Sword: would destroy any pride David had.

1 Chronicles 22:14 – “Despite my troubles I’ve made preparations for the Lord’s temple. There are 7,500,000 pounds of gold, 75,000,000 pounds of silver, and so much bronze and iron that it can’t be weighed. I’ve also prepared wood and stones, and you may add to them.

7.5 million pounds of gold?!!

75 million pounds of silver?!!

Right. No wonder the temple was looted. Like wow. (Okay, that sounds bad, but can you imagine how they would guard the temple if it existed now?)

1 Chronicles 23:15-17 – Moses’ sons were Gershom and Eliezer. Gershom’s only son was Shebuel. Eliezer’s only son was Rehabiah. Eliezer had no other sons, but Rehabiah had many sons.

I have often wondered what happened with Moses’ sons. Sometimes a parent’s legacy is hard to live up to. Thankful (I think is the word), that Yahweh did not demand that they live the way their father had to.

1 Chronicles 25:1 – David and the army commanders appointed the sons of Asaph, Heman, and Jeduthun to serve as prophets with lyres, harps, and cymbals. This is the list of the men who performed this service:

Imma repeat for emphasis and say it louder for those in the back to hear.

MUSICIANS ARE PROPHETS!! Do not say, I am “just” a musician. Musicians are prophets!
