December 19, 2022
It’s the week leading up to Christmas! Yahweh, I am thankful that you came to this earth as a baby so that you can live like us so that we could live like you.
I know that there are arguments that you weren’t born on December 25th, but I truly believe it’s not about the date, it’s about the fact (and that is a fact, not a made up story) that you came.
That you came to save us.
That you died to save us.
That you rose to save us.
Thank you for the gift that lasts throughout eternity. You. Thank you for the gift that allows us to spend eternity with you. Your birth, life and death.
Yahweh, thank you for all that you are. The essence of you and I pray that no matter what – that despite the busyness of the season that we will remember you. That we will honour you. That we will live for you. Thank you for the many miracles that you have done in my life. Thank you for the promises.
Isaiah 41:10 – Don’t be afraid, because I am with you. Don’t be intimidated; I am your God. I will strengthen you. I will help you. I will support you with my victorious right hand.
This is apparently the verse of the year. The verse that has been highlighted and shared the most. I have always loved this scripture. I would focus on the victorious right hand. His mighty hand. That hand is still super important but now I focus on the “Do not be afraid, I am with you.” No matter what I’m going through, you are with me. You are my God. You are my father, my friend, my help – my present help in times of trouble.
Thank you for always being here. Not just for me, but for all of us – those who believe and trust you. Yahweh, I pray for the youth department. There are so many ideas that are being put forward. I pray for your continued grace and favour over them. That they will honour you and serve you with their whole heart. Let your will be done. May hearts be blessed and restored to you. This is my prayer, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Isaiah 9:2 – The people who walk in darkness will see a bright light. The light will shine on those who live in the land of death’s shadow.
Verse of the Day.
Light and Revelation go hand in hand.
