Morning Star
Spread the love

March 1, 2022

Good morning Yahweh. It’s not just a new day, it’s a new month! Wow. Thank you for bringing me this far. Thank you for your love. I feel so cosy right now. Just to be close to you is my desire. (Can’t even remember who sang it, but it just popped into my head and it’s my heart’s desire).

Yahweh, today is yours. Thank you for the challenges that I face each day. For your grace each moment, for taking care of me and this household. I just want to praise you and give you the honour that is due to you. You are so beautiful to me, you are everything I long for. Everything I need. I know this isn’t a “gospel” song but it also came to my thoughts. You are everything that I need and I’m thankful for that. You are everything. Not just what I need. You are everything. Nothing exists without you. I am nothing without you. Thank you for never leaving me. I was going to say, please don’t leave me and I remembered that’s an impossibility. The word says, nothing is impossible for you but this is – it is impossible for you to leave us. And I am beyond grateful for that. I pray that my eyes would be fixed on you: not on the problems of this world or on the joys of life. They are both vanity because without you, we are eating sand for these joys. Without you the problems are like sand filled with water – heavy.

Thank you Yahweh for who you are. Thank you for loving me and for keeping me. Thank you for today and your promise of our/my daily bread. Though (shame face), I am not inclined to eat actual bread today as I usually put a limit to how much bread I eat in a week. But the awesome thing is that you are limitless. There’s no beginning or ending with you. We are wrapped up in you: there is no end to your thoughts. There is nothing that you can’t do. Thank you for your promises Yahweh. Your specific ones to me and your “general” ones for the entire population. Your promises remain. You remain. When all things have passed away, you remain. When all hope seems lost, you are there making a way. You never give up. Yahweh, I didn’t plan to ask for anything today other than your daily provision. But I do pray that the persons on this development plan don’t destroy our Island. There is irreplaceable beauty in your world and when you said, multiply and subdue it, you immediately mentioned things of this earth as part of what we need to multiply, not just us. Please be with the team and may they design according to what is best for this island and not their ego. In your name I pray. No other name.

Your promises. It still amazes me how you work. It’s not dependent on us. You promised us. Yet you are the fulfilment of that promise.

Hebrews 6:13 – God made a promise to Abraham. Since he had no one greater on whom to base his oath, he based it on himself.

You are the only one who could do that and that is why all your promises are guaranteed. It’s not about us. It’s for us, yes, but not about us. We don’t make the promise. We don’t fulfil the promise. Thank you Yahweh for making the promises and being the promise.

Hebrews 6:17 – 19 – God wouldn’t change his plan. He wanted to make this perfectly clear to those who would receive his promise, so he took an oath. God did this so that we would be encouraged. God cannot lie when he takes an oath or makes a promise. These two things can never be changed. Those of us who have taken refuge in him hold on to the confidence we have been given. We have this confidence as a sure and strong anchor for our lives. This confidence goes into the ⌞holy⌟ place behind the curtain.

There were a couple things that jumped out at me (good jump out that is):

  1. Those who would receive his promise. His promises are open to everyone, but we have to accept them. We have to accept it in our hearts and we have to believe. Yahweh would not work in our unbelief. He (possibly) can. But he’s a rewarder of those who believe him, so if he grants his promises to those who don’t believe what is the reward for those who do?
  2. The confidence we have been given in Jesus. God who cannot lie made the oath against himself and anchored it in Jesus. Jesus who came to die to anchor us in Yahweh, to Yahweh. And we need to hold on to this confidence. You are twice/thrice(?) infallible.

You promised us life.

James 1:12 – Blessed are those who endure when they are tested. When they pass the test, they will receive the crown of life that God has promised those who love him.

SIDEBAR: BTW, you really make me smile. Today I’m all set to do the Skin to Skin challenge. This morning you’re like nope: you’re doing the Promises Challenge. 31 days, 31 promises. Sigh. You’re awesome, you know that?

Blessed: Happy, blessed, to be envied. I did not expect to see “to be envied” there. Like what? And who in their right mind wants to be tested? But that’s how the world thinks and that means they aren’t in their right minds.  To be right-minded is to be in Christ: to have his anointing. I am blessed/happy/in an enviable position when I endure testing. Hmmmm. Actually – it’s not when I’m tested. It’s when I endure the test.

Endure: to stay behind, to wait, to stand my ground, to remain under.

To be so firmly fixed in Christ as our anchor that when tested, we don’t move. We wait on Yahweh, we trust him and after enduring then we are blessed /happy/to be envied. We may not be happy during the test, but we can stand firm. To remain under the test because in the end, we will be blessed. Not might be, will be. He promised. Remember?

Tested: an experiment, trial, proving.

We are tested to ensure that we know. We can’t be unsure: did God? I wonder. If we move that way, we fail. He proves us so that when he gives us life it is not wasted.

Crown: (Lol. I feel like a dictionary). That which surrounds, to encircle.

We will be surrounded by life (btw, who is the way, the truth and the life? You guessed it – Jesus Christ). Our reward is  being surrounded by him. We are in his presence, where there is fullness of joy and pleasures forevermore.

Life: Jesus, physical and spiritual existence. He gives us of himself, here and now and they hear after. He shares his gift of life with those who love him, those who endure.

So often we think of life being good only when Christ returns, but with him it is good here and (dare I say it?) awesome hereafter. Thank you for your gift of life. Thank you for surrounding us in you. That’s a comfort and it makes me feel protected. Sigh. That’s another promise there, but that’s another day. Thank you for your life and you. Thank you for your blessings: your promises are sure.

John 10:10 – The thief cometh not, but for to steal and to kill and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Great is thy faithfulness

Song: Promises by Maverick City

Yahweh, I pray that your desires would be mine. Recognizing that the phrase, “Not my will but yours”  also shows that I can still have a will separate from you, but your will plus my will is to be so tangled together that they are one. Help me to be one with you.

Today I am meeting with a lot of people. Let the words of my mouth be acceptable in your sight. For your spirit of discernment and understanding to dwell in me. Thank you Yahweh, I love you.

Job 33:4 – The Spirit of God has made me and the breath of the Almighty gives me life.

Mom called me outside to see a rainbow this morning (I am getting ready for work). So I stopped and on my way outside, mom said, it’s the brightest rainbow she’s ever seen in a while. And she was right. It was the brightest rainbow. Even brighter than the double rainbow I had seen a couple weeks ago. Thank you Yahweh for your promises and your faithfulness towards us.

Work Weary

At this moment (this moment, I know it won’t last long and I’m thankful for that), I feel weary. I just got in and I’m being asked about drawings. These drawings were emailed to everyone but somehow no one has information. Sigh. I resent it to them. Yahweh, today I asked for a double portion of your strength. Thank you.
