Good Morning Yahweh! Last night I was determined to go to bed early. And I did! Slept for seven hours and thirty-two minutes! Yayyyy! Thank you!! Thank you for rest. For waking me up this morning. Thank you for your continued protection.

Singing

If it had not been for the Lord on my side.

Tell me where would I be.

Yahweh, you have always been by my side. On my side. Fighting for me. You’ve always been there and I am forever grateful. I am blessed that you chose to fight for me. To protect me. To keep me. Thank you for the ways that you have shown you love me. Thank you for your everlasting promises. Thank you for who you are and who you are to me.

My life is yours. Today. You know, last night, the thought occurred to me, the year is not over. Mentally I kept saying that 2023 is pretty much here and so there’s not much that can be done to turn my situation around. But the year is not over. And you’re not finished.

Singing

It’s not over. It’s not finished.

It’s not ending. It’s only the beginning.

If God is in it. All things are possible.

And the truth is, it’s not that I don’t believe that you will do what you said. I absolutely believe, but I realised that I was still putting my own time in the situation. This time the reverse. That it will all be next year. But the truth is this:

  1. You work suddenly (to us). Joseph, Ruth and so many others.
  2. You work in your time. And it may be this year or next year. Though I believe you have an overall timeline for the fulfilment of the promises to move me into the next season. But it’s all in your time. Which can be this year or next year or the year after. But  have to rest assured that whenever it is done, it is in your time. And I need to stop limiting you on either side.
  3. It’s not over. It’s not finished. Not until you say so. And you haven’t said so.

Yahweh, thank you for your promises. Thank you for being the God of possibilities. For the knowledge that once you’ve said it, that you will come to pass. That we can rest in your promises. It’s not over. Thank you Yahweh. This is only the beginning.

Just the Beginning – Kurt Carr

This is just the overture.

I haven’t seen your best.

1 Corinthians 2:9 – But as Scripture says: “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined the things that God has prepared for those who love him.”

Isaiah 64:4 (KJV) – For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him.

A thought based on the two scriptures:

  • Prepared for those who love him.
  • Prepared for those who wait for him.

We can only wait for Yahweh if we love him. Love requires patience, trust. So does waiting. When we love someone, we will wait for them. When we love Yahweh, we will wait for him.

Wait I say, on the Lord.

Psalm 27:14 – Wait with hope for the Lord. Be strong, and let your heart be courageous. Yes, wait with hope for the Lord.

Psalm 27:14 (KJV) – Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.

Wait – S.O.
