In truth it is still shocking that Yahweh spoke to me. Because it’s something I thought of happening to other people. Yes, he sent messages through others, through scripture, but to hear him, the thought still gives me pause. I don’t doubt anymore what I heard, though I am curious how he will put things into motion. As I am reading this book, it’s amazing to see how Yahweh moved in the author’s life. But what always strikes me in these moments: the waiting. The preparation. I have to keep reminding myself to be patient and wait on Yahweh. He is preparing me. He is putting things in place and I need to do what he has asked me to do.
At times I’m reminded of Joseph, who had his dream fulfilled more than twenty years after he had the dream. What is powerful though is that him becoming Tate would be considered by most to be the pinnacle of his achievements. But he was in that position for at least seven years before the dream came to pass. Sometimes what we may want to consider the “greatest” achievement isn’t even the primary focus in Yahweh’s plans.
I will live everyday according to Yahweh’s will. I will wait on the Lord, because he’s good and even though it may be long, he makes it all come together.
Thank you Yahweh for your plans in my life. Thank you for looking beyond the now to my tomorrow. I ask for your direction with the prayer group. I don’t even know where to begin. I pray for you to be in the midst, to lead us. Thank you for who you are. Your will, not mine. I love you.
TODAY’S THANKFUL TALLY
- Those you have called to lead.
- That Yahweh plans for our future even when things look bleak.
- I will not be waiting in vain.
Thank you Yahweh.
