You know what I love? Waking up with a song on my mind. It is so inspiring to wake up with an anthem for the day. Thank you Yahweh. There is nothing better than you. That is the truth! Thank you for not giving up on me and for seeing the beauty through the ashes. Will you guide me today? I know it’s a foregone conclusion, but I still want to ask. Thank you for a new day. The days and the nights are moving like the wind! One week from now February is going to finish! Well one week and some days, but I considered a month over once pay has been distributed. Thank you Yahweh, for your movements in my life. For all that you have done. Thank you for your love. There’s truly nothing better than you.Â
Today help me to live out your word. No matter what I may be feeling (tired) that I won’t forget who I am reflecting: you (should almost go without saying, but there is a reason that you are called The Word 🙂 it needs to be said).
SIDEBAR: I’m calling the dogs back inside after a quick morning (as in 3:30 in the morning) outside spin. I saw three of them come in but didn’t see the 4th and kept calling his name softly. Then it hit me that he’s probably already inside. I turned on the light to check and he’s lying there in the corner watching me with a bemused look on his face: like what are you doing?
I have to smile and then I thought, isn’t this the way we are in our spiritual life? We are out there looking for something – not that the “something” is necessarily bad ehhh. But we’re looking out there, when what we’re looking for is inside all along. And honestly unless we look inside and find what we need we will not be able to rest easily.Â
