I did something today that I haven’t done in a while. Sat and had a conversation with folks after church. But the most hilarious thing that made me laugh was my nephew. I went to pick him up from work and somehow (I don’t even know how), he said, “But I prefer a heavy weight champion.” It was the way he said it that had me laughing. But it did lead to a discussion that while personality is important, so is the physical. If you’re not attracted to the physical also, then it makes no sense. The two need to balance.

So I was searching for the song I had remembered earlier. It is an old, old song and I could not find it. I was pretty sure that it was Dallas Holm and Praise but the magic of YouTube wasn’t finding it. So I asked my mother if she remembered the song and if it was on one of the records and a record player. And yes, we still have records and a record player. And we found the song!

I had the words slightly wrong. But we found it! And now mom is listening to her records. Lol.

Song:

Two Open Doors by Dallas Holm

Which way do I turn and how do I learn,

What the Lord wants me to do.

I asked the Lord’s will and he tells me, “Be still and know that I’ll lead you through.”

Honestly as I listened to the song and the words, I’m just like, this is still so true. We want to know right now, but Yahweh is asking me to be still.

But where it says, “It’s a fine line there that is drawn between what’s best and what’s good.” And this I know is the truth, but I like to say, the difference between a good decision and a God decision. It may be a good thing, but is it what Yahweh wants me to do?

For some things I am waiting for his direction – being still. And in others I am following where he leads and there’s others where he’s like – just choose, either is fine. In those cases, it’s clearly two open doors.
