2:01 am : In my bed, too many thoughts running through my head.
Philippians 4:19 – My God will richly fill your every need in a glorious way through Christ Jesus.
Give it away. It’s funny (not funny haha), but as I listened to the exposition of the verse of the day, they didn’t focus on Yahweh providing all we need, though they did speak about it. But they spoke about generosity. Where it’s not about giving the minimum that Yahweh is asking for, but giving generously and then watching Yahweh supply in response to our giving. Why is it funny? Because this seems to be the theme of the week. I had to re-evaluate the tithes that I returned and also made the decision last night not to change the payout terms of the partnership. But the question now raised is – who do I give to?
Can I give Dad? Honestly I sat (actually lying down) thinking and some names passing through my mind. And then Mom came to mind but then Dad. Why Dad? I contribute to the household expenses. I also give money every month. I don’t have a lot, but whatever I have left from the business (after expenses), I will give some to him and the balance to someone else in need. I hope that’s okay and honestly this isn’t about proving you though Malachi 3:10 also came up several times this week, but I do feel impressed to give it away. Sigh. You do put me in some interesting situations. But I will trust you in every season. No matter if it looks good or bad. Imma trust you.
7:26 am : starting over the Bible cover from scratch.
I’m not sure if it’s the machine or the leatherette and cardboard combo, but the cover stitch is inconsistent so…gonna have to do it over. Such is life.
So I’m listening to a video on relationships and they said something that is so true. When you’re not appreciated in a space, you fall out of love. And I think this applies so much in so many workplaces. Most people aren’t appreciated at work. Their boss doesn’t say, “Thank you, that was a job well done.” They are taken for granted because everything is running smoothly. But appreciation goes a long way. It helps someone to know that they are wanted and many of the jobs that people say they “hate” are actually jobs that they would love if they knew their work was valued.
