Titus 1:11 – They must be silenced because they are ruining whole families by teaching what they shouldn’t teach. This is the shameful way they make money.
The destruction of families lead to much more than that. The ripple effect is felt throughout society.
Titus 3:1 – Remind believers to willingly place themselves under the authority of government officials. Believers should obey them and be ready to help them with every good thing they do.
Why put ourselves under their authority? Because Yahweh is who sets up and takes down. But this is not a blind follow. Help with every good thing. If it’s bad, then renounce it.
Titus 3:9 – Avoid foolish controversies, arguments about genealogies, quarrels, and fights about Moses’ Teachings. This is useless and worthless.
So true. There are those who are hyper-focused on these topics. But they cause division, not unity.
