Thank you Yahweh for this time with You. Thank you for your grace, mercy. Your care. This morning was a hit the ground running type of morning. I am thankful for the opportunity to work and to do work that I enjoy.
Thank you for changing/adjusting my perspective. Help me to keep my mind open to you (and only you). Thank you for speaking with me. For guiding me. Your love is truly amazing.
Thank you for all that you have done. Help me to focus on you at this moment.
Proverbs 20:29 – The glory of young men is their strength; and the beauty of old men is the gray head.
This should be a potent combination. Wisdom and strength, but so often we want to downplay their strength and believe that wisdom means dictating and the young men fight back with their strength. Yahweh I pray for synergy between the young and old. That we learn to balance and work together.
Isaiah 40:30 – Even the youths shall faint and the young men shall utterly fall
When we try to work in our own strength, we will grow tired, even with the energy of youth. Yahweh, I pray that our young people will put their trust in You. That they would wait on you. Strengthen them in You. So many mentions of the young men dying in scripture and it continues even to today. What can we do about our men being slain? I pray that our young adults /our young men would choose to honour you and not live by the sword. Yahweh thank you for your protection.
Act 2:17 – And it shall come to pass in the last days saith God, I will pour out of my spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and daughters shall prophesy and your young men shall see visions and your old men shall dream dreams.
What about the old women? (just saying). I am thankful there is still hope (though it says in the last days). Let your power fall Yahweh. On our young people. May they choose to be called by you. May they have visions.
Titus 2:6 – Young men likewise, exhort to be sober-minde
Young adults should be of sound mind. Mentally stable and healthy
Titus 2:4 – That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children.
You know, I take a little issue with this, cause it is scripture like this that have so many men believing that women are slaves to their husband and children.
Yahweh I pray that our adults be of sober and sound mind so that their visions would be carried out according to Your will.
When God gives a word, don’t worry about how it will be done. Don’t limit God based on our limitations.
Hold on to his promise. When God gives a word, don’t go searching for another.
We will not have to compromise our integrity for God’s word to be fulfilled.
The devil loves to say “Did God say?” and bring doubt into your thoughts. But our answer should be “Yes!” and “Amen!” he did say it!
