I was surprised this evening. And as I’m reflecting and writing, I remember saying that I don’t think I’ve ever had a surprise planned for me. I’ve had unpleasant surprises. But until this evening I have not been the recipient. I remember at the time thinking well in truth praying, that it would be nice to have a nice surprise.

I’ve been leading a youth group for about 5 years, but this year I had to step back and another person took up the mantle. They asked when would be a good day to hand over things, I told him we could meet on this day. I got to the location and saw a couple other folks there waiting. I didn’t even think anything because they’ve been a part of the group. Imagine my surprise when I see food and drinks being pulled out and toasts being raised. Saying thank you for the time I had spent leading the group. I had no words. Well I did say thank you and that I pray that the group continues to grow.

Sometimes the answer to a prayer (even a silly one), can come from unexpected places. Because I truly wasn’t expecting that. Thank you Yahweh. I do appreciate it.

I bring before you Alex and family. That’s honestly all I can say. They are yours. Work a miracle. Put a hand, a foot, a something. I lay them at your feet. Let your will be done in their lives. May their hearts be open to you and to do what you have called them to do.

Thank you for today. For your word in my life. Thank you for protection over this household -Mom, Dad. You are definitely a great God. You are mighty. Tonight is in your hands, I have no need to fear and I am grateful for that.

I pray for PC. He has still been quiet for which I am thankful. I pray that his eyes will be opened to see you and to know you for himself. Not hearsay. Not by the way. For himself. A heart dedicated to you is a powerful thing. I pray that he will be counted amongst your sons when you return. Thank you for working in his life. May he be drawn to you.
