Good Sabbath Morning Yahweh! Thank you for today. This day that you have made. You made everyday, but today is set apart by you. To give you honour and glory. You are my God and you are the only one that I will serve. Why?
Because you are true.
You are just.
You are faithful.
You are loving.
And you are worthy to be praised.
Singing
Praise him! Praise Him! Praise Him! Praise Him!
Jesus, Blessed Saviour!
He’s worthy to be praised.
Thank you for who you are.
Thank you for saving us from our sins. We would have still been struggling to get on stage if it wasn’t for you.
Still looking for what you had called us to do and failing miserably.
Thank you Yahweh for everything. I love you.
Psalm 65:1-4 – You are praised with silence in Zion, O God,
and vows made to you must be kept.
2 You are the one who hears prayers.
Everyone will come to you.
3 Various sins overwhelm me.
You are the one who forgives our rebellious acts.
4 Blessed is the person you choose
and invite to live with you in your courtyards.
We will be filled with good food from your house,
from your holy temple
You are praised with silence. I’ve always heard this from the KJV which says…
KJV – Praise waiteth for thee, O God, in Sion: and unto thee shall the vow be performed. 2 O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come. 3 Iniquities prevail against me: as for our transgressions, thou shalt purge them away. 4 Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple.
But truthfully I never really thought about what it meant for praise to wait.
Awaiting : dumiyyah : a silence, a quiet waiting, a repose, stillness, trust.
It’s not just waiting to praise you. It’s waiting almost in anticipation of you. Being still in your presence. Reminding ourselves of what makes you great and then praising you. Because you hear prayers. Because you forgive sins. Because you have invited all of us to dwell in your presence and to eat of your food.
Yahweh, thank you for who you are.
My Everything – Richard Smallwood and Vision
You are my everything. Thank you for hearing every prayer. Even the silent ones.
Yahweh, you are truly an awesome God. Many times in the moment, we don’t understand why you are not “rescuing” us. But the reality is, you are developing us. You are growing us. You are doing a work in us to complete what you started in us. In truth, you aren’t rescuing us, but you are saving us. From our sin. From ourselves and teaching us to trust you. To rely on you. You know what is best. Thank you Yahweh for being everything. Thank you for your love and patience towards us. You are worthy. I love you.
