CONFESSION: There are days when I wish to rock the boat so hard that we all fall out. And other times I’m like: one battle at a time. Most days when I go to work I wear a department shirt that when they gave them to me years ago I wore as blazers with the front open because they couldn’t close. Now it’s pretty much all I have to wear and have sewn them in. I usually wear them with jeggings cause you don’t really see the baggy on jeggings. My predicament is that I’m in a culture that has major issues with women wearing pants in church, but right now I don’t have a lot of “church wear” options and am down to like two dresses and two skirts. Problem is, unless I wear a shirt from work and I really don’t want to, I don’t know what to wear tomorrow. I wore the black dress last week and the African print dress is awesome except for one minor thing: it’s a lot of cloth and this church is hot with no breeze and no A/C. I know, first world problem, but I don’t know what to wear. Probably the same black dress I’ve been wearing for the past few weeks. Facepalm. Just realised that I didn’t get to wash it this week. Oh Well. Why do we have to wear clothes again? Something is going to work out.
TODAY’S THANKFUL TALLY
- Day twelve
- Genesis 6-24
- The overwhelming favour of Yahweh. Truthfully, when I think about it, I have to stop and give you praise.
- I did not go to the office today. Lol. Thankful that I am able to work and have days I can take.
Yahweh, thank you for today and your wonderful reminders of a wilderness season. Yahweh, help me not to wonder aimlessly in this season, but to see what you desire and to learn what you want me to. Thank you for who you are. I love you.
