Responsibility. Doing what you say you will do when you say you will do it. Truthfully even if I’m not well, but I’m committed to something I will do my best to do it and if I can’t make it, I will make arrangements. Sadly not everyone thinks that way and I’m currently experiencing that. At the 99th hour, being told, “I wasn’t able to … can you do…?” And there is the thought that I have to keep in mind: help yes, but maintain the boundaries. Honestly, I’m not sure if I see much longevity with this individual based on their past and current performance. But we will see.
But I think what is most disturbing to me, the people who believe that because they are married with children that the single people without children can just fill in because they have “nothing” to do. Thankfully I am not bitter about it anymore, but there are moments like today where I’m just like really?
Contact
So funny story. There is a contact form on the website and once a message is sent, an email is to come to me and a notification is sent. I haven’t gotten any notification but decided to check the email for the fun of it. And saw several message ones of which was a summary of messages sent via the contact form. I’m like 61 entries?!!! What?!!! When I checked, they were all spam. Had to laugh. Good to know I wasn’t ignoring anyone who actually sent a “real” message. But it does mean I should check it regularly.
