time with Yahweh during the day

For the first time this year, my head aches during a fast. As weird as it may sound, every other time I felt the call to pray and fast, there were no headaches etc. Hunger pangs and gas pain, but no headaches. This time from day one, I’ve had a low grade headache and it’s only day three. It almost made me wonder if the call I felt wasn’t from Yahweh, but I decided that I committed to this season of prayer and fast. I’ve already entered into this time as a covenant and while there are some modifications as it’s not a complete fast, I do not want to break it. So Yahweh, I pray for your continued strength to make it. To do your will. To hear your voice and to honour you.

Thank you for who you are. Thank you for your grace in my life. Thank you for all you’ve done for me. Your will and not mine. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

I was listening to a sermon and the speaker said that there are several signs  that you’re headed for destiny.

  1. Disappointment: when Yahweh disappoints just when you think he’s going to come through for you.
  2. When he skips you altogether.
  3. God surprises you.

Well, I guess I should prepare to be surprised. Though quote frankly, you can’t prepare to be surprised. It’s very nature makes it impossible. And then I remembered another message (The Illusion of Strength), where it says that Yahweh wants to surprise us. Sigh (good sigh). I’m thinking that he’s really taking to heart when I had said earlier this year that I don’t usually have good surprises. Thank you for the surprise. Whatever it is, however it comes, whenever it comes. Thank you for keeping me in your thoughts. For loving me and desiring the best for me: even if the best looks impossible right now.
