time with Yahweh during the day

How did we survive before the internet? Everything at our office is networked: printers, phones and currently there is no internet due to the storm.  I feel like I’m in the dark ages.

Yahweh, thank you for your grace in my life. Sometimes when I see the message that you send as reminders that somehow seems to always tie in to what I’m doing at the moment, I just have to say thank you. Truthfully, we often desire everything today. We live in a right now society. But you are an appointed time God. You established seasons and days and know when you desire things to come to pass.

I was just typing up the entry from the day you asked me to cut the ropes (Cut the Ropes Completely), a little over a month ago. And truthfully, I was expecting an immediate turn around because you’re God and you are the God of the turn around. But as I was typing (and listening to a sermon, you know how I do), the preacher reminded me of the acorn and the oak. When the seed goes into the ground there isn’t even a noise to signify that something happened. And then there is the time to grow. To become the tree. It doesn’t happen overnight. But it  happens.

And this isn’t the only seed you asked me to plant. And it’s amazing how much now, I’ve accepted the blog and the Facebook page – which were seeds you’ve asked me to plant. You’ve asked for my time and with all of them I’ve been (mostly) good with the insight that it takes time. But for money, somehow I desired an immediate turn around. But you desired time. I may never see the harvest, but you promised that it would be a blessing to others. I pray that it will go far. I pray that each step will be in your time. Thank you for your message and your provision. Thank you for your times and this season to grow in you. Thank you for who you are. I love you.

Habakkuk 2:3 – The vision will still happen at the appointed time. It hurries toward its goal. It won’t be a lie. If it’s delayed, wait for it. It will certainly happen. It won’t be late.

This scripture often seems like a paradox.

If it’s delayed/it won’t be late.

But the delay is what it looks like to us. Not how it actually is. In reality, it will happen when Yahweh said it will. It takes surrender though, to live and still rejoice in that timing. It takes trusting his word and believing the vision that he gave. The Lord won’t delay.

Ephesians 1:11 – God also decided ahead of time to choose us through Christ according to his plan, which makes everything work the way he intends.

Isaiah 14:24 – The Lord of Armies has taken an oath: “It will happen exactly as I’ve intended. It will turn out exactly as I’ve planned.

And in all this, it doesn’t mean that we sit and do nothing. Like Joseph we work diligently wherever he has placed us, for his glory.
