Dream/Wake State
I was at an event, not sure in what capacity, but someone was murdered and my Dad and I were trying to find out who did it. As part of the investigation, I ( a younger version of me) was looking at videos of the scene when I said, “Why would someone record a video at 2am?” And I called Dad to see the video also.
I was also watching all of this (an older me) from a bed facing their right side. There were ventilation blocks on the right side of me and I felt like hands reaching through the blocks trying to pull me and somehow also attempting to bite me. For a moment I felt paralysed. I wasn’t actually bitten – as in skin wasn’t broken. And then I was able to pull away.
I woke up. Before I even moved in my bed I started to pray silently. I got up and looked at the time. It was 2am. Started to write the dreams and pray some more.
Isaiah 54:17 – No weapon that has been made to be used against you will succeed. You will have an answer for anyone who accuses you. This is the inheritance of the Lord’s servants. Their victory comes from me,” declares the Lord.
My Faith has Found a Resting Place
Victory Belongs to Jesus – Todd Dulaney
Psalm 33:16-22 –
No king achieves a victory with a large army.
No warrior rescues himself by his own great strength.
17 Horses are not a guarantee for victory.
Their great strength cannot help someone escape.
18 The Lord’s eyes are on those who fear him,
on those who wait with hope for his mercy
19 to rescue their souls from death
and keep them alive during a famine.
20 We wait for the Lord.
He is our help and our shield.
21 In him our hearts find joy.
In his holy name we trust.
22 Let your mercy rest on us, O Lord,

Withholding Nothing – William McDowell
Psalm 20:6-9 – Now I know that the Lord will give victory to his anointed king. He will answer him from his holy heaven with mighty deeds of his powerful hand. Some rely on chariots and others on horses, but we will boast in the name of the Lord our God. They will sink to their knees and fall, but we will rise and stand firm. Give victory to the king, O Lord. Answer us when we call.
Ezekiel 36:27-29 – I will put my Spirit in you. I will enable you to live by my laws, and you will obey my rules. Then you will live in the land that I gave your ancestors. You will be my people, and I will be your God. I will rescue you from all your uncleanness. I will make the grain grow so that you will never again have famines.
Philippians 3:9-11 –and to have a relationship with him. This means that I didn’t receive God’s approval by obeying his laws. The opposite is true! I have God’s approval through faith in Christ. This is the approval that comes from God and is based on faith that knows Christ. Faith knows the power that his coming back to life gives and what it means to share his suffering. In this way I’m becoming like him in his death, with the confidence that I’ll come back to life from the dead.
