JANUARY 8, 2022

Eight is the number of new beginnings. I remember being confused because it’s not a number you see in the Bible, but instead it’s a logical number. Seven is the number of completion. What comes after would be starting new. Thank you Yahweh for new beginnings. A new day to honour you and to do what you have called me to. Thank you for this time.

A new day.

A new chapter.

A new Sabbath.

2 Corinthians 5:17 – Whoever is a believer in Christ is a new creation. The old way of living has disappeared. A new way of living has come into existence.

NEW BEGINNINGS

Yahweh believing on you. In you. Brings about new. A new joy. A new spirit, a new life in you. This is available to anyone, once we believe.

SIDEBAR: Sometimes I do feel sorry for the neighbours with how noisy the dogs are. Help it not to be a bother too much for them.

Being a new creature is not something we can do of ourselves. We can change our behaviour, but that heart change? Only God. Thank you for being the only God.

Isaiah 43:19 – I am going to do something new. It is already happening. Don’t you recognise it? I will clear a way in the desert. I will make rivers on dry land.

Yahweh is not saying that he will restore springs that were there before. The land was dry. Our soil was dry. He will make springs in our heart. He will change the literal soil of our heart. He will make ways in the desert. Each new thought, habit, change makes a new neural pathway in our brains. He makes those paths for us and the more embedded in us they become, the greater the change. Every seventh day is followed by an eighth. So it’s not that we’re made new once. Constant walking with Yahweh brings continual renewal.

Thank you for your promise of being made new. Of continued growth in you. You are a God of so many possibilities. You make all things new.

Ezekiel 35:26 – I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you. I will remove your stubborn heart and give you obedient hearts.

It’s interesting, you will remove the stubborn heart. But because you’ve given us free will you won’t force us. But once there is that wedge/sliver that allows you in, you will use it to rack that heart wide open. A new heart. Emotions are changed. Our mindset is changed and your spirit dwells in us. Renewing us. Thank you for choosing  us though we are stubborn. Thank you.

Yahweh healing, growth, faith. These are all continual, renewing processes. They don’t just happen once and done. You are constantly working a new work in me.  Help me to keep growing in you. To keep trusting you. Thank you for continuing to heal me and create new ways in the desert. For watering my dry and thirsty land. For making me open to you. You are God alone. But you’re also my father and my friend.  Thank you for being limitless.
