1 Timothy 6:10 –  Certainly, the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. Some people who have set their hearts on getting rich have wandered away from the Christian faith and have caused themselves a lot of grief.
Yahweh, I do believe that you desire us to be rich financially. Not for the sake of the big house etc though those are fine, but for your kingdom. As I look around your church community, there does not appear to be an abundance of resources. But Yahweh, I pray that as a community we will grow. That the resources will grow. That we will use these for your kingdom. That we will not be stingy but sow seeds of life, of prosperity, of honour in your name and that it will be magnified in you. Help me Yahweh to rebuke that spirit of jealousy that arises at times. Help me to focus on what you desire for me. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
