It’s Sunday!! A whole new week!! A week that I get to use for you! Thank you for waking me up. Thank you for another day. Thank you for your love. Thank you for the many wonderful ways to show your love to me. I am grateful.
You are my closest friend, you know? You have proven that you are confidential (though of course you discuss amongst the three of you). You have shown that you only want what’s best for me, even if I may not always enjoy the process. But the process you’ve created is what has the greatest progress.Â
Thank you for your amazing love and I will trust you for today. I will trust you to lead.Â
What would you have me to do today? My life is in your hands.
- Be strong and courageous.
- Never stop reciting these teachings.
I’ve always believed (even in my furthest days from you) that what you would require for me would be different from what you require from someone else. But I’ve also realised that even when calling us, or rather before calling us, you set a foundation for us to build on. And it’s only if we build on that foundation we would succeed. What you’ve called someone to do is for them to do, in the way you desire them to do it. But we need to be courageous. I don’t think we are ever called to do something easy (for us). It may be easy for others, but there’s a great chance that what you are calling anyone to do is something that will require us to rely on you. But you have also promised that you will be with us wherever we go. Yahweh, guard my mind from anything that would harm. I will think about your teachings night and day so that I won’t forget them.
Help me to be a witness to others of who you are. I am yours.Â
Mother’s Day
Sunday morning Mother’s Day mini buffet. Because mom loves the breakfast buffet at Magdalena and we weren’t spending that much money this year. The most unusual mix of Trinbagonian food and English food.
- Fried Bake (float)
- Saltfish Buljol
- Yorkshire Pudding
- Veggie Sausage
- Chocolate Tea
- Guava-Passion Fruit Juice
- Salad
Enough items to make it feel buffet-ish. Last night I put the saltfish to boil and promptly forgot about it. Then I remembered and came running out only for Dad to tell me he had changed the water and put it back to boil. And then we all forgot about it. Facepalm. What’s a little burnt offering amongst family? Lol. Because yes, it burnt.
