Today is at an end. Thank you for today. I’ve decided to cook Sunday lunch (on Sunday), actually inviting Steph and Angie also. It’s been a while since I’ve cooked a Sunday type lunch and I decided that instead of stewed chicken and stewed fish (which I had said at first), I’m going to make sorrel BBQ chicken wings and tamarind BBQ fish. So this evening I made both sauces. Now I love sorrel. The sorrel was potent to knock out by itself, but it’s not as strong as I would like it to be in the sauce. The sauce tastes fantastic mind you. It looks fantastic with a nice deep red. It is sticky to coat the wings. I just want more sorrel flavour and I added so much sorrel to it that it took almost an hour to boil down (the tamarind BBQ sauce was done in twenty). But it going to use just so. Mom already deciding who she’s giving food too. Lol. I don’t think any of us can help it. We’re always give away food whenever we cook.Â
TODAY’S THANKFUL TALLY
- Sorrel BBQ sauce. Cause yeah it still tastes awesome!Â
- Got some much needed rest.
- Stayed within the time limit to work on the project. Okay, actually I went over by nine minutes, but was in the middle of editing something and could not leave it undone. I had to finish! I had to!
- Hebrews 9-13, Haggai, Zechariah, Malachi
I’m noticing a trend here. I kinda feel I’m running from the Ezekiels and the Jobs. I’m straight up running from Numbers and Leviticus and I feel that Psalms would overwhelm me. I think I will read Psalm (confession: I actually thought tackle at first) in between other books. I love Psalm. It’s just a lot. Â
Yahweh, thank you for your word as possibly overwhelming as it may seem at times, it is you speaking to us – which is probably why it’s overwhelming. You are a lot, but you need to be to do what you do. Thank you for being who you are. And for sharing yourself with me. Thank you. I love you. Â
