Mark 14:38 – Stay awake, and pray that you won’t be tempted. You want to do what’s right, but you’re weak.
So this is a thought: would Peter have denied Christ if he had stayed awake and prayed? Jesus was advising him not to sleep, but he did. What would have happened if he had prayed?
Mark 15:19 – They kept hitting him on the head with a stick, spitting on him, and kneeling in front of him with false humility.
