Yahweh, thank you for being my champion. Yes, I am claiming you. I know you are everyone’s champion but you are also mine. Thank you for being a personal God for knowing us and choosing us. Yahweh, so often we are impatient, we want the fulfilment of your promises now. But that’s not how you operate most of the time.
Exodus 23:29, 30 – I will not force them out of your way in one year. Otherwise the land will be deserted and wild animals will take over. Little by little I will force them out of your way until you have increased enough in number to take possession of the land.
Could Yahweh have removed all obstacles at once? Absolutely, but would it have been for our (their) good? What good is an area that is left un-utilised because at the time you don’t have the capacity for it? It goes to waste. It also can be discouraging to look at. Sometimes when you see a vast area to occupy, you start to question, “Can I do it?” But as you maximise one area, you see where you can expand and you move accordingly.
He that is faithful in that which is least, is faithful also in much. Thank you for your foresight. You are calling us (me) to move forward, but in a sustainable way that will enable us to grow and accommodate it. You are the beginning, the end and everything in between. I will follow where you lead.
