Late Nights are Not my Friend

Not again. Not me again. It is official, confirmed. Late nights are no longer my friend. It’s amazing the changes that can happen in a short time. Well it didn’t feel short at the time, but it’s only been five and a half months. Thank you for waking me up this morning. A new day. What will you have me do today?

Hmmmm. A surprise type of day. Well I did say I want to be surprised by your movements in my life for some things, so I eagerly await what you have in store for me. I lift up before you the church community. Cleanse us of all that is unlike you. Work in us, so that the words we say will draw others closer to you and not repel. Forgive us Yahweh, we have strayed so far from your ideal that I’m surprised that we are still here. But since we are still here, there is hope. Help us to find our Hope in you. Remember the youths and the young adults especially. In my eyes, it seems that most are wondering (wandering) aimlessly when it comes to you. But that may just be in my eyes. I pray that they all grow in relationship with you. That they focus is not on the things of this world but on you and your kingdom. I pray that they will dedicate their gifts to you and not hide it under a bushel. Gen in particular. She is beyond talented but also afraid of her talents. I pray that she will see herself the way that you see her. That’s her eyes would be open to the many ways that she can shine for you. I pray that no matter what it looks like in her family, that she will choose you. Thank you for your love for all of us. For your grace, for your undeniable, empowering presence in our lives. Use us Yahweh, for your glory. 

1 Timothy 4:12 –  Don’t let anyone look down on you for being young. Instead, make your speech, behavior, love, faith, and purity an example for other believers.

Proverbs 7:1 – My son, pay attention to my words. Treasure my commands that are within you.

Titus 2:6 – Encourage young men to use good judgment.

Psalm 119:9 – How can a young person keep his life pure? He can do it by holding on to your word.

I pray that they all keep the faith and hold on to you.

At this moment, I feel like crap. My head hurts, my body feels weak. I want to sleep, don’t know if I’ll be able to. I need a hug and a blanket.
