Today went absolutely nothing to plan. While I don’t believe in the statement, “man plans, God laughs” on days like these, I do think he chuckles – not maliciously, but, “don’t worry, it’s all good.”
After the totally unexpected, but fun visitors (which meant no nap – and yes I nap during the day), after church this afternoon, dropped home some youths, had discussion with some other youths and picked up avocados for Mom. I cancelled the gas station trip because it was closed and the next one required being in weekend traffic and it was already minutes to nine. By the grace of Yahweh (please and thank you because you since Friday I was trying to get there), it would take me to the hike and then the gas station from there. It was a day that should have been a roller coaster of a day emotionally because what?!! Putting the entire salary in the offering bowl with no back up, no savings, no nothing of my own should have had me panicking. And while there were moments of concern, what next? I kept choosing two things: peace and rest in Yahweh. My salvation comes from him. I cannot be saved by my own strength or my non-existent horses. Only by you. Thank you for your grace and your love. As I go to sleep tonight, protect and keep me. Remember this household and your youths. Keep us in you. Strengthen the youths in you. Thank you for who you are.

You know the idea that to see “big” miracles you have to take “big” risks is first and foremost in my thoughts. And I don’t know what will happen, but I am trusting you. To show me the next step. To do your will. It is done. It is yours. I am yours.
