Integrity is everything. Say what you mean and mean what you say. Do what you said you would do. And the reality is, even if they hate you, even if they come against you, they will still have to know that you live by what you say. But more importantly, you would be content because you lived by what you said. I would prefer that a person declared himself to be my enemy and act that way, then you say you’re my friend and act otherwise.
Personally, if you and I are not friends, I am not pretending. If I am not in agreement with your actions, I am not pretending. I won’t disrespect you, because that’s a reflection of my values, but I am not pretending. One of the easiest ways to make enemies on this here island is to correct someone.
They will cast you as a devil incarnate because they are not allowed to do wrong, and that’s sad. It’s sad when people’s moral compass are pointing everywhere but North and the one (or ten) in a crowd who is pointing North is being ridiculed, ostracised and their reputation tarnished with lies. What do you do when this happens? I don’t even bother to argue or defend because to argue with a fool is a losing argument. Just don’t. Keep standing for what is right. Let Yahweh sort it out.

Yahweh, thank you for today. Despite the uncertainties, we are all alive. Thank you for being a friend, I don’t have a lot so I truly do appreciate those I do have, but especially you. You go before me and you stand behind me.
SIDEBAR: That moment when you realise that it’s just not that important. Now I do believe that everything in scripture has a purpose. And in that, some things would mean more to one person over another. Not everything will apply to me for example, though there are some things that do apply to everyone. But this evening I’ve come to the decision that whether we get crowns, what type of crowns we get isn’t important to me. But following where Yahweh leads? Absolutely. So I will focus on that.
