Listen!! Me listening to a sermon and literally stopping and screaming, “Thank you Jesus!” I remember saying that you can’t have a heart and not hear, hear is right in the word. Only to hear the pastor saying in order to know someone’s heart you have to listen, you have to have an ear for them. And then he added, “Ear is right there in the middle of heart.” It’s so true. We claim to love someone but we don’t listen to them. We don’t hear their heart. That’s what Yahweh does. He hears every cry, every prayer, because he knows our heart.
Psalm 94:9 – God created ears. Do you think he can’t hear? He formed eyes. Do you think he can’t see?
Thank you Yahweh for having a heart to hear us. For inkling your ear to us.
I am slightly ashamed to admit that I’m tired of the “prayer” sessions. Well I’m actually just tired, I want to sleep. But the prayer sessions have become more sermon sessions now which kinda hurts my heart because I truly don’t believe that our church community prays enough. It’s also sad that the basic support from the persons from the church who are supposed to be on the praise and worship team isn’t there. For one I understand the circumstances, for the other, most times you don’t even get a note saying I won’t be there. But I am going because I made a commitment and I think communal worship is important. I just pray that we pray more.
Yahweh, I lift up Lincoln before you. He has been hospitalised with a stroke, but you are the healer, the master physician. Yahweh, I pray for your healing power to flow through him. Heal his mind and body. Restore him – your version of restore which is better than before. I pray for his family that in this season they will find strength in you. That they will trust you. That he will trust you. Thank you for holding them in your hands. Breathe on him Holy Spirit and bring new life into him. This is my prayer in the name of Jesus. Amen.
I will bless you oh Lord. You are the Saviour of my soul. You forgive me – continually. You love me unconditionally. Thankyou for who you are. You are worthy of all praise.
