As the pastor said:
TO HEAR FROM GOD YOU HAVE TO LIVE A LIFESTYLE OF EXPECTANCY
To expect that at any point and anytime that God will speak to you. We aren’t going to always be the one initiating the conversation. Because relationships should not be one-sided. We need to be sensitive to hear God’s words.
WAYS GOD CAN SPEAK TO US:
- Audible Voice. Usually not a regular occurrence but serves to direct. (Acts 9: 3)
- Visions. (Habakkuk 2: 1, 2)
- Encounters with God (Acts 9:3-6)
- The Holy Spirit speaks to our heart (Ezekiel 2:2) Most of the other ways always point to what the Holy Spirit is already in your heart.
- A Knowing (Romans 8:16)
- Scripture.
- Dreams (Psalm 16:7)
- Circumstances (1 Kings 19:11, 12) Reveals someone’s character etc that makes you take notice.
- Word administered through someone else (Word of knowledge) (2 Kings 1:3)
- Praying in tongues (Acts 19:6)
CONFESSION: I’ve always been confused about praying in tongues. I understand (clinically) how it should work but I’ve always felt (especially publicly) that if I can’t understand what sounds like gibberish, why bother to say it? I do acknowledge that there’s also a religious blockage in a way, because I didn’t grow up with that as an example. Yahweh I ask you to speak into my life. That whatever way you choose to speak, I will be open to you.
I need to also say thank you. I’ve never fully realised (or rather, never fully appreciated) all the ways that you have spoken to me. There are some that stand out, but I am grateful that you still spoke to me even when I wasn’t being very attentive. For speaking. Thank you for your spirit moving through me, in me. I feel your presence and I am so grateful that you are part of my life. That you’ve spoken to me and that you continue to speak to me. Thank you for your promises that you will always be here. It’s a year. But not just a year, it’s a lifetime to walk with you.
Enoch (Genesis 5:23) lived for 365 years. When I first heard his age it was nice but helped no real significance. 365 is the number of days in a year. 365 days covenanted with you. Yahweh, it is only through you I can keep this covenant.
It took the birth of Methuselah for Enoch to start walking with you. But the beauty of working with you is that you don’t want us to abandon our lives, but for us to invite you into it.
Genesis 5:22 – After he became the father of Methuselah, Enoch walked with God for 300 years and had other sons and daughters.
It shows that Enoch maintained relationships with those around. He was still a husband, father, friend, but he walked with God. We share our lives with you and you share with us.
THE BEGINNING OF RESTORATION
Guess what? I messaged Alex and said we needed to talk. He came by this afternoon and we spoke about the money issues. He said he hadn’t forgotten but he was also paying back others too. I indicated to him that it was more than just the paying back, even if it’s never paid back, it felt to me that I did these things and then he just went his merry way. It would have been nice if he had said something. He apologised. He also said that he does hope to pay back. I said thank you, not for the promise to pay back, though it would be nice if he did, but it wasn’t for that. It was for the apology.
Thank you for your leading. For restoration. I pray that he and his family will prosper and be in good health. I love you. We knew we were loved by your parents, but the words weren’t really said. I’ve learned to say it and I encouraged him to practice saying “I love you” versus “I love my sister”. Work in progress. Thank you Yahweh.
EXERCISE
So this app. It is suggesting that I do a 7-Day exercise challenge. It’s funny because it already has exercise on both the morning and the day routine. What was also funny I was thinking of adding another 10 minute move along session and evenings. So I decided to do the challenge. I does exercise ehhh. But the wall sit had me sweating. I was like what?!!! This is definitely going to be a challenge.
My right arm just started hurting me just so.
