Dear Yahweh, I do not know what to say, other than thank you. Thank you for being God. Thank you for being who you say you are. Thank you for your everlasting love and mercy. Your goodness and mercy.

Yesterday while watching a bookbinding/book repair video, the book used was entitled, “God is not Great.” There was a comment stating how people would be going crazy over the book title. The funny thing is, it did not bother me. First up, I actually thought, “God isn’t great, he’s awesome!!” I know in the Bible, it says, he’s great and he is. He is great and greatly to be praised. But the one adjective didn’t seem adequate enough.

The next thought was, for someone to actually write such a title seemed as though they were trying hard to convince themselves or there was an opposing tagline that we could not see from our view of the book. But one thing I am positive about, that the God that serve is an awesome, good, great God.

Psalm 19:1-5 –

The heavens declare the glory of God,
and the sky displays what his hands have made.
One day tells a story to the next.
One night shares knowledge with the next
without talking,
without words,
without their voices being heard.
4 Yet, their sound has gone out into the entire world,
their message to the ends of the earth.
He has set up a tent in the heavens for the sun,
which comes out of its chamber like a bridegroom.
Like a champion, it is eager to run its course.

It doesn’t matter where you love, the glory of Yahweh is revealed. But it is possible to be blind to it. Satan has pulled wool over the eyes of many and they are blind to who Yahweh is.

I pray for all of us who are blind to you. To your goodness, your grace, your love, your judgement. So often we see you from one limited perspective: usually based on our personal experience with other people. But you desire to reveal who you truly are to us. For us to see you for ourselves. Help us Yahweh to be open to you. To what you have to say.

1 Corinthians 2:10 –  God has revealed those things to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches everything, especially the deep things of God.

Yahweh, help me to know you, to truly see you.

Revelations: a surprising and previously unknown fact that has been disclosed to others. The divine or supernatural disclosure to humans of something relating to human existence.

Revelations (Bible): an act of revealing or communicating divine truth.

Revelation 1:1 – This is the revelation of Jesus Christ. God gave it to him to show his servants the things that must happen soon. He sent this through his angel to his servant John.

Revelation : apokalupsis : an unveiling, uncovering, revealing.

A spiritual manifestation of Christ previously unknown.

I am monumentally curious. How did the word apocalypse end up meaning destruction? (I kinda do understand). I’ve never really considered the book of Revelations being about destruction. Yes, the old earth will be destroyed, but the part that speaks about a new heaven and a new earth always seemed more important. That is about creation. Something new. And Yahweh makes all things new in his time. He reveals all things in his time.

Singing

In his time, he makes all things beautiful in his time.

Thank you Yahweh for your time, your revelations. You are an awesome, great  God. I love you.

Of Time and Revelations.

Thank you Yahweh for your desires to reveal yourself to us in your time. I love you.
