TODAY’S THANKFUL TALLY
- A parent being absolutely mad at me (shame face). The youths and young adults were discussing everything from school to how to study the Bible. And we weren’t paying attention to the time. He got home later than planned. I’m sorry! Reminder that not all parents think the same.
- We found a ninja! Lol. Not really, but Gen definitely moved like one.
- A day of prayer. There was actual prayer and testimonies.
- Leviticus 16-27
I think we often underestimate the need for conversation and socialisation. Some of the young people that I have never seen smile in church (which is sad when you think about it) were actually laughing! We need to embrace the reality that fellowship and the assembling of ourselves is not just about sitting in church. I am sorry about the youth being out later than planned. I will call the parent tomorrow and apologise again.
I am thankful for the day. For a safe place where they can meet. Though sitting here, it truly is obvious that friends my age group don’t exist for me. Yes, my sister-in-law and I are great friends, but she lives on another island. And while it can be depressing at times, I am thankful for the few friends that I have. I am thankful for your blessings in my life, for your provision. Yahweh, help me not to focus on what I don’t have, but on what I do and what you have called me to do. Thank you for your grace and your love.
